About the Role

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to support the firm's engagements with NYC and NYS. The State and Local Government practice serves clients in business design, organizational strategy, program strategy, implementation of large programs, market analysis, financial modeling, operational analysis, process improvement, change management, technology strategy and transformation, compliance monitoring, program management, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Guide clients through business design, organizational strategy, and program strategy.
  • Implement large programs and conduct market analysis.
  • Perform financial modeling and operational analysis.
  • Drive process improvement and manage change initiatives.
  • Develop technology strategies and oversee transformations.
  • Ensure compliance monitoring, program management, and reporting.
  • Manage challenging projects and serve clients effectively.
  • Facilitate meetings and engage in public speaking with large groups.
  • Apply management consulting skills including project management, financial modeling, operational modeling, and stakeholder management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of overall work experience within the public sector space, ideally consulting experience or experience in a related field.
  • Experience managing challenging projects and serving clients.
  • Critical thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to client’s management and operational challenges.
  • Must currently reside within New York City metropolitan area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to client locations and GH Office locations.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
