About the Role
As HR Business Partner, you will be instrumental in shaping and driving the People Strategy for the three core teams that drive the UK Biopharmaceuticals division. You will work with senior leaders and be part of an HR team to deliver on business priorities, foster a high-performance culture, and advance ambitions for growth and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Translate business imperatives into actionable workforce plans, aligning talent and capabilities with both short and long-term commercial objectives.
- Drive talent development and succession planning by collaborating with the HR Director, broader HR team, Centres of Expertise and global networks.
- Advise and facilitate on topics including employee relations, team effectiveness, organisational development and change initiatives.
- Ensure meticulous compliance and outstanding practice across all areas of UK employment law and people policy.
- Partner with the reward team to ensure competitive compensation and benefits.
- Analyse HR metrics to develop data-driven solutions for issues and opportunities.
- Act as a credible adviser to senior leaders, spearheading organisational development, cultural change, and performance management cycles.
- Create and implement innovative approaches to talent retention, mitigating attrition risks and cultivating a dynamic, diverse workforce.
- Develop effective hiring and onboarding strategies in close collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team to secure top talent.
- Champion a continuous learning culture, supporting leadership development programmes including "Thriving in the Age of AI."
- Stay at the cutting edge of HR technology and trends, contributing forward-thinking ideas that drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
Requirements
- A proven track record in HR Business Partnering within complex, fast-paced environments, demonstrating the ability to set direction and inspire teams at every level.
- Experience in leading business change, leadership planning, performance and reward, employee relations, learning & development, and organisational design.
- The gravitas to coach and challenge senior leaders, with the agility to problem-solve and a passion for nurturing talent.
- Curiosity to build business insight in a science-led environment.
- Advanced data proficiency: able to interpret HR metrics and analytics to shape forward-thinking strategies.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with high emotional intelligence and discretion.
- Expert understanding of UK employment law and compliance, with the ability to seamlessly translate policy into practical action.
- A collaborative attitude and flair for building cross-functional networks, both locally and internationally.
