About the Role

The Logistics & Quality Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing logistics operations, ensuring service excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations across two regional warehouses with a 13M EUR budget. This role acts as the primary data architect and operational lead, translating capacity targets into high-performing logistics outcomes and driving product and service quality improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage data to build and maintain dynamic Cost to Serve (CTS) models that identify cost drivers at the customer and product level.
  • Analyze data to identify recurring execution issues and lead-time variances to uncover saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on distribution cost reporting and presentations.
  • Develop analytical tools to stress test inbound and outbound capacity against a 12-week forecast to proactively mitigate bottlenecks.
  • Own the automation of Logistics reporting, integrating financial actuals, business assumptions, and forecast for real-time decision-making.
  • Lead the implementation of LEAP in Logistics, ensuring business continuity and onboarding for different teams.
  • Initiate or support projects impacting the Logistics category.
  • Act as the operational lead for Logistics quality and compliance activities, including warehouse and outbound related audits.
  • Lead best practices on use of Intelex/LOOP.
  • Drive corrective actions with Brand Companies and manufacturing sites by providing data-driven evidence of issues detected during goods receipt.
  • Support recalls and regulatory inspections, ensuring all audit trails and documentation.
  • Identify recurring quality failures at the source and influence manufacturing partners to implement structural process corrections.
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain team to optimize inbound deliveries and warehouse management of finished product inventory.
  • Liaise with the Commercial team to optimize inbound deliveries and fulfillment of POS where needed.
  • Actively participate in the S&OP/S&OE framework with a risk management focus.
  • Procure bespoke and generic packaging, related services, and accessories.
  • Serve as the main operational contact for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Manage Valpak relationship and submissions, as well as Waste packaging reporting.
  • Organize the annual Cannes event.
  • Organize the annual UK Awards organization with IDL.
  • Organize stock counts across Commercial stock and POS warehouses within WBDF.
  • Maintain and drive an efficient re-work process with 3PL VAS Teams.
  • Optimize the sample management process.
  • Optimize pallet management.
  • Control the Ecototes fleet and engage with involved parties.
  • Manage the day-to-day spend of the circa 13M EUR Distribution budget, explaining costs and variances.
  • Manage daily relationships with carriers and warehouses, leading operational reviews and short-term capacity negotiations.
  • Drive continuous improvement with logistics partners.
  • Manage the Transport strategy and engage with the S&R agenda through reduction of CO2 emissions and waste packaging.
  • Own the strategy and execution for returns and exception flows, ensuring minimal impact on financial controls.
  • Line manage the Logistics and Quality coordinator, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.
  • Champion a culture of transparency and psychological safety while focusing on delivering operational excellence.
  • Ensure effective prioritization within the team to maintain continuity during major transitions like LEAP rollout.
  • Drive delivery of 96.5% OTIF in collaboration with Customer Operations Team Leaders.
  • Adhere to budget and deliver savings where possible for variable distribution cost per 9Lcs.
  • Achieve non-conformity report closure rates and BC corrective action implementation.
  • Identify and track savings through data-driven pattern identification.
  • Ensure explicit 3PL contracts, SLA, and KPIs.
  • Conduct 3PL Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Business Reviews.
  • Execute objective and timely tender processes complying with Group standards.
  • Maintain transparent audit trails.
  • Maintain documented procedures for audits.
  • Maintain documented departmental processes.

Requirements

  • People management experience.
  • Broad logistics or supply chain experience in complex, multi-party environments.
  • Experience planning and executing logistics using demand forecasts and volume assumptions (e.g., S&OP inputs).
  • Project management experience.
  • Freight tendering and carrier or 3PL negotiation experience.
  • Experience in developing automated reporting suites that support digital transformation.
  • Experience working with 3rd-party logistics providers (3PLs).
  • Exposure to international transport, customs, and excise.
  • Experience in FMCG, retail, or similarly fast-paced operating environments.
  • FMCG industry warehousing and distribution experience.
