About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Technician to support our Beefeater gin distillery. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and compliance through routine maintenance, fault finding, repair, monitoring, and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the reliability and compliance of all electrical equipment at Kennington Distillery.
  • Carry out routine servicing, fault finding, repair, monitoring, and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Assist with mechanical equipment maintenance.
  • Take instruction from and input records to a computerized asset management system.
  • Communicate with management to plan and coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support electrical project work scopes with installations, testing, and handover.
  • Undertake hazardous area inspections of electrical equipment within hazardous areas and complete remedial works.
  • Install, repair, and replace ATEX equipment.
  • Conduct electrical inspections of fixed electrical systems in non-hazardous areas according to national and company standards.
  • Complete relevant maintenance tasks that affect day-to-day operations, including some out-of-hours working.
  • Provide engineering cover if required to run on non-production days.

Requirements

  • Time-served Electrician with a good knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience working within a Maintenance focused role with an understanding of Process Control systems.
  • Willingness to undertake multi-skilled training and work to a level of multi-skilling in line with competence.

Skills

  • Compex Ex01-Ex04 (Gas) & Ex05-Ex06 (Dust) is desirable (If not held must be willing and able to pass).
