About the Role
Wood Mackenzie is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing Programs & Enablement to optimize ways of working, align strategy, enable teams, and ensure program delivery with clarity, pace, and discipline. This critical role drives the next phase of growth by fostering strong people skills, excellent project management, and acting as a change agent within the global Marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the Marketing operating model and ways of working to support scale, speed, and execution discipline.
- Establish frameworks for how work gets done, focusing on process rather than direct task delivery.
- Drive clarity on roles, responsibilities, and handoffs across teams.
- Translate strategic priorities and projects into clear, structured plans, roadmaps, and deliverables.
- Build in delivery capacity and sequencing across the team.
- Ensure transparent execution tracking and drive accountability.
- Act as the orchestrator for cross-functional Marketing squads, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, and accountability.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers within squads, escalating as needed.
- Identify and remove bottlenecks and inefficiencies in delivery processes.
- Improve team collaboration, planning, and execution across functions.
- Build scalable processes to enhance productivity, coordination, and delivery predictability.
- Ensure ways of working are embedded and processes are understood and adopted.
- Run the Marketing Enablement training program, creating playbooks, templates, and frameworks.
- Drive change management and establish feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Marketing Operations to ensure alignment between process adoption and supporting tools/systems.
- Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and delivery discipline.
- Build trust through predictability and transparency in execution.
- Support the leadership team with better decision-making through structured planning and insight.
- Act as the connective tissue across Marketing, bringing cohesion to delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Marketing and project management.
- Experience working in large, complex matrix organizations.
- Ability to bring structure and clarity to complex, ambiguous environments.
- Ability to balance strategic alignment with rigorous execution tracking.
- Ability to lead through influence and coordination rather than direct ownership of outputs.
- Ability to raise execution standards across the department.
- Extensive, varied experience in professional Marketing roles.
- Strong strategic thinking.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Strong experience in business operations.
- Proven ability to build and run operating models, governance, and delivery frameworks.
- Strong communication, presentation, story-telling, and writing skills.
- An understanding of the end-to-end go-to-market process.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of Marketing & Sales alignment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and engage peers.
