About the Role
As a QA Automation Engineer at Askuity, a division of The Home Depot, you will design and execute test strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality SaaS products. You will play a key role in the product development team, helping to drive data-driven decisions for suppliers and merchants through our retail analytics platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the test automation suite.
- Design and execute effective test plans to ensure consistent product quality.
- Conduct baseline, regression, functional, integration, and post-release testing.
- Identify, document, and escalate defects with actionable details.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Developers to define test cases based on acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including story point estimation, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Communicate quality issues effectively to accelerate resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of QA automation experience.
- Experience developing automation frameworks for web-based applications using WebdriverIO.
- Hands-on experience creating test scripts in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience working within an Agile team.
- Strong understanding of QA concepts and testing best practices.
- Ability to estimate story points and write well-formed test cases.
- Experience identifying test data requirements.
- Knowledge of test management tools like Test Rail or Zephyr.
- Proficiency in reporting and tracking defects in JIRA or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with distributed version control systems like GIT and Bitbucket.
- Strong understanding of database testing concepts.
- Ability to perform extended sitting and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to travel to corporate headquarters annually as requested.
