About the Role
Oversee the downstream supply chain to deliver great customer service and operational excellence through effective strategic and tactical production planning. Take full ownership of the customer experience from order placement to product delivery, ensuring on-time performance.
Responsibilities
- Create infinite schedules to achieve customer on-time delivery and maximize production efficiencies.
- Raise work orders and manage MRP messages.
- Manage the daily work order cycle through production, resolving issues.
- Create master production plans, optimizing machine efficiencies, resource availability, and shift patterns.
- Manage all finished goods stocking policies, inventory levels, and engineering change requests.
- Own product lead times, providing customers with consistent, deliverable lead times.
- Coordinate the SiOP process, analyze data, and identify changes in demand and supply.
- Own supply planning, ensuring forecasts are achievable with available capacity.
- Communicate proposed resource and investment requirements, identifying key risks to supply.
- Own the product master list and life cycle phase, managing the product portfolio to meet customer requirements and minimize costs.
- Implement visual queue management planning techniques and build a capacity flex plan with production.
- Be accountable for Supply Chain metrics, performance, and root cause countermeasures.
- Manage all Supply Chain department costs, including OEE, factory efficiency, overtime, subcontract costs, finished goods premium freight, and external storage.
- Manage the product master data within the ERP system.
- Lead the deployment of lean methodology.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or with appropriate workplace experience/qualification.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- ERP subject matter expert.
- Experience with and sound knowledge of manufacturing supply chain, planning, and Lean methodology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into operational performance.
- Experience of leading change and delivering results.
- Proficient in common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
