About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team and contribute to the exciting fields of Data and AI. This role offers a challenging opportunity to shape the future of data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Conception and construction of Big Data/Analytics platforms
• Selection of suitable technologies for the implementation of Data Analytics Use Cases in complex cloud environments
• Development, execution, and scaling of data pipelines on cluster architectures
• Assessment of data quality and performance of transformations for data cleansing
• Design and implementation of data models
• Provision of data in suitable storage technologies for various applications such as interactive dashboards, API backends, statistical analyses, and AI systems
• Setup of infrastructure, applications, and DevOps workflows using IaC and CI/CD
• Support of the Data Science team in the development, deployment, productization, and operationalization of statistical or AI models
• Project organization regarding planning and coordination
• Active participation in the Engineering Community within the company

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related mathematical/scientific field, or a comparable qualification
• Minimum of 4 years of full-time professional experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a similar role
• Fluent communication skills in German and English
• Willingness to travel as part of consulting activities
• Very good knowledge of a programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java), particularly with its data engineering components or libraries
• Knowledge of GIT
• Strong knowledge with technologies from at least one cloud provider: Azure / AWS / GCP, especially with their data engineering components and services
• Very good knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL and data modeling
• Knowledge of Databricks / Snowflake, OpenTable formats (DeltaTable, Iceberg, Hudi)
• Experience in project management
