About the Role

A premier mechanical services contractor is seeking skilled Mechanical Supervisors to lead site teams on projects in Bicester, London, and Maidenhead. You will oversee on-site mechanical installations, focusing on HVAC, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Building Management Controls, acting as a key liaison between site operatives, subcontractors, and the project management team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate direct labour and mechanical subcontractors on-site, ensuring optimal productivity and workmanship.
  • Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of complex HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, and control systems.
  • Enforce stringent on-site Health & Safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and ensure compliance with RAMS.
  • Conduct routine quality control inspections to ensure mechanical installations meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitor project progress against the programme of works and maintain accurate site records.
  • Report daily/weekly updates to the Project Manager.
  • Proactively identify and resolve on-site technical or logistical issues to prevent delays.
  • Assist in the requisition of plant, equipment, and materials, ensuring timely availability on-site.

Requirements

  • Significant previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in the commercial building services sector.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and deep technical understanding of HVAC, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and associated control systems.
  • Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Valid CSCS Gold or Black Supervisor Card.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical discipline (e.g., Heating & Ventilation, Pipefitting, or Plumbing).
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage multi-disciplined site teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise professionally with clients, project managers, and tradespeople.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
  • Willingness to travel to designated sites across Bicester, London, and Maidenhead.
