About the Role

ILSC Education Group is seeking a resourceful, people-first IT Support Auxiliary to join their Systems Support team at the Toronto Campus. This part-time, 6-month contract role involves being the primary point of contact for technology-related issues, managing hardware and software, and ensuring the campus infrastructure runs smoothly. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a dynamic educational setting, and finds satisfaction in assisting others.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve hardware and software issues for staff, acting as the primary local escalation point.
  • Log, resolve, and escalate tickets using the ServiceDesk ticket management system.
  • Participate in the evaluation, piloting, testing, and launch of new hardware, software, and applications.
  • Serve as the local liaison between the Systems Team and campus staff during major incidents, upgrades, and scheduled downtime.
  • Research and troubleshoot issues using online resources, manuals, vendor support, and internal IT knowledge.
  • Manage, maintain, and improve technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for in-warranty hardware replacements.
  • Install, configure, and update equipment and peripherals according to standard guidelines.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, implement new technologies, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to support present and future success.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 11, Office Apps & Microsoft 365, and Apple macOS.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and recognize when issues may impact delivery.
  • A genuine commitment to customer satisfaction and building lasting client relationships.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
