About the Role

Allied World is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Claims Assistant to support the Professional Lines Claims team in London. This role involves assisting the team in handling open market claims for Directors & Officers, Professional Indemnity, and Financial Institutions. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of insurance market experience to further develop their knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up claims and perform data entry in claim systems (Genius/CUI, TRAX), allocating new claims to analysts.
• Draft claims notes, prepare, and issue standard claim acknowledgement letters and other claims documents.
• Process claim payments.
• Conduct reviews of aged files/static claims.
• Work on claims bordereau as required.
• Manage and maintain monthly bordereau and Escrow accounts for claims under TPA delegated authority.
• Assist with the preparation of materials for policy renewals and line of business meetings.
• Build and circulate regular claims MI reports using internal data warehouse and external applications like Lloyd’s CRS.
• Support claim analysts/managers with file maintenance tasks such as copying, filing, and scanning.
• Assist with the coordination of internal and external audits.
• Undertake other administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in the insurance market.
• Good general PC skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to learning.
