About the Role

As an iOS Developer on the Lightspeed Hospitality Team in EMEA, you will drive Lightspeed’s expansion across Europe by building solutions that comply with local fiscal regulations. Your work will enable entry into new markets and enhance functionality in existing ones, directly impacting thousands of businesses and their customers globally. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, fellow Developers, and the Support team to deliver secure, reliable, and delightful payment experiences through continuous innovation and deep integration.

Responsibilities

Design, document and implement features for the iOS point-of-sale application
Participate in development planning, retrospectives and feature demos
Proactively identify and remove roadblocks inhibiting team delivery
Help decompose high-level requirements into development tasks and work items
Initiate and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and best practices
Identify and encourage areas for growth and education for self and team
Participate in finding top talent for the team and organization
Provide technical and process guidance to the team
Participate in code reviews to teach and apply high standards of code quality

Requirements

Advanced programming skills in Swift (and ideally Objective-C)
Good knowledge of multithreading, UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, REST APIs
Experience in writing automated unit and functional tests
Good conceptual understanding of software design and code beauty
Experience with local network communication, external accessories (e.g., payment terminals, printers) is a plus
Team player who contributes to discussions and shares opinions
Self-motivated and functions effectively in a team environment with minimum supervision
Always seeking improvement and progress
Eager to make decisions and not afraid of making mistakes
Keen on sharing knowledge and expertise with peers
