About the Role

The Configuration and Catalogue Manager will design, create, and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Service Catalogue. This role ensures accurate IT infrastructure tracking, strengthens governance, and supports incident and change management to deliver a stable, user-focused technology service.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain configuration management and service catalogue processes, policies, and standards in line with ITIL best practice.
  • Lead the design, creation, and management of the CMDB to reflect IT infrastructure, applications, and service dependencies.
  • Develop and manage the IT Service Catalogue in collaboration with service owners and product teams.
  • Promote ITIL best practice across ITSM processes.
  • Provide insight and reporting to support service improvement.
  • Contribute to incident, problem, and change management.
  • Manage and develop a Configuration & Catalogue Analyst.

Requirements

  • Significant experience managing a CMDB and/or IT Service Catalogue in a mature ITSM environment.
  • Experience with CMDB creation, integrations, discovery tools, or automation workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as Hornbill, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
  • Confidence working with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information using metrics and dashboards.
  • Proven line management experience.
