About the Role
The Technical Specialist Engineer provides 2nd line support for field engineers and clients, maintaining and servicing digital CCTV, associated electronic security, business process improvement, building management, and AV systems on customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line support for field engineers and clients.
- Maintain and service digital CCTV and associated electronic security systems.
- Maintain and service business process improvement systems.
- Maintain and service building management systems.
- Maintain and service AV systems on customer sites.
- Ensure regular communication with the Technical Services Manager, Service Administration team, and UK Service Manager regarding progress.
- Engage support when required.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining IP Access Control systems (single, multisite, or enterprise).
- Ability to develop knowledge and experience within audio visual systems (audio/video recorders, video-walls, displays).
- Ability to manage a varied customer base remotely.
- Understanding of networking capabilities.
- Ability to configure network hardware.
- Experience installing and supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows network and security settings.
- Good appreciation of the wider field of IT.
- Broad understanding of computer system architecture and techniques.
- Ability to manage internal & external stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent planning, organization, and leadership skills.
