About the Role
We are building a roughly 600-kilometer energy corridor from the North Sea to the Rhine-Main region to supply green electricity from offshore wind farms. This is a challenging, future-oriented project that requires dedicated individuals to manage the construction of this vital infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of a construction section within the ARGE Rhein-Main-Link, including schedule, costs, quality, and work safety.
- Preparation, control, and execution of the construction section, including civil engineering, pipeline construction, and potentially special civil engineering services.
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of an interdisciplinary project team, with close collaboration with construction and foreman teams.
- Budget responsibility in the high double-digit to triple-digit million euro range, including technical cost control and economic management.
- Coordination and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with HSE/work safety and environmental regulations.
- Close collaboration with clients, partners, and other stakeholders within a cooperative partnership agreement.
- Reporting on project progress (key figures, costs, risks, opportunities) to the superior project management of the ARGE.
Requirements
- Completed engineering degree, preferably in civil engineering, infrastructure, or civil engineering; alternatively, a comparable technical qualification with many years of experience in major projects.
- Several years of experience in project management of major projects in earthworks, road construction, cable laying, or infrastructure/energy plant construction.
- Sound knowledge of project and cost management, especially in technical cost control; strong numerical understanding and affinity for economic key figures.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and project-related tools.
- Strong leadership and team skills in large project organizations, high communication skills, and confident demeanor towards internal and external stakeholders.
- Structured, solution-oriented, and cooperative working style, decisiveness, and high commitment in the context of major projects.
- Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel and mobility.
