About the Role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist for a full-time, permanent role within the Therapy Services team. This position involves a rotational scheme across various high-acuity specialties, offering opportunities for professional development, research, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Be legally and professionally responsible for all aspects of your work, including safe and effective management of clinical and non-clinical caseloads.
• Effectively apply clinical reasoning to assess, progress, adapt, and treat patients, seeking guidance when necessary.
• Identify and communicate risks within clinical settings, including deteriorating patients and potential safety issues related to care and discharge.
• Educate and train physiotherapists and other MDT members on the role of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
• Proactively use routine outcome measures to improve patient care.
• Provide supportive supervision and coaching to physiotherapists and students.
• Stay informed of evidence, practice changes, relevant research, and guidance to enhance personal and MDT practice.
• Identify areas for research and quality improvement to contribute to the wider physiotherapy development strategy.
• Actively participate in audit and research activities, supporting departmental strategies and priorities.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant Allied Health Professional (AHP) area.
• Post-graduation experience and education in inpatient specialties including respiratory, orthopaedics, neurological, and general surgical.
• Evidence of continuous professional/academic development relevant to the clinical field.
• Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience as a registered physiotherapist in an acute hospital setting.
• Broad-based registered physiotherapy experience across inpatients, including ICU, neurological, surgical, medical, and orthopaedic specialties.
• Experience with discharge planning, referral provision, and use of outcome measures.
