About the Role

AbelCine is seeking a Junior Visual Designer to join a fast-paced in-house creative team supporting a consulting client. This role involves producing high-quality visual content across digital, brand, presentation, and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a designer tested in real-world environments, enjoys diverse creative challenges, and seeks growth within a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level MAM/DAM systems.
  • Architect end-to-end ingest workflows for video, audio, and ancillary media.
  • Oversee and participate in daily ingest operations, ensuring accuracy and proper metadata tagging.
  • Maintain real-time reporting dashboards on ingest metrics.
  • Evaluate existing post-production and media-management processes and drive system-level improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Production, and Post-Production teams to define requirements for new tools and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Configure and administer MAM/DAM platforms.
  • Implement and maintain scalable storage systems with strong backup and security compliance.
  • Build and manage automated workflows and file-transfer pipelines.
  • Develop and enforce ingest standards, naming conventions, and delivery specs.
  • Conduct high-level QC on incoming and outgoing media and create preventive solutions.
  • Serve as the technical lead for on-site or remote ingest operations during live events.
  • Train internal teams on MAM usage, ingest workflows, and metadata tagging.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends in media pipelines, AI metadata extraction, and cloud-based workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–3 years of professional design experience in an agency, in-house, production, freelance, or consulting environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating real-world, professional work experience across a variety of mediums and project types.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Motion graphics and animation experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to art direction and participation in larger creative campaigns is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, layout, branding, and visual storytelling.
  • Versatile designer comfortable working across digital, presentation, social media, marketing, and brand design projects.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving ability in fast-paced environments.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in an environment where priorities may evolve.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.
  • Dexterity for using design tools and equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish colors, fonts, and images.
