About the Role
We are seeking an Account Executive for our Digital & Financial Services Division, focusing on the financial industry (banking, securities, cards, trusts). Our team supports the transformation of the financial industry at the forefront of AI and data utilization, building on SAS's 40+ years of trust and achievements in Japan. You will gain systematic training in banking operations and consulting skills through learning about our analytics platform, SAS's business solutions, and financial industry training. You will shape use cases directly related to core banking operations such as risk management, customer analysis, AML, and fraud detection, building your strengths as an AE. You will grow by deepening your knowledge in both IT and business by interacting directly with CIOs, IT departments, and heads of various business areas.
Responsibilities
- Understand and delve into customer business goals or challenges, and collaborate with presales and consulting departments to formulate proposals.
- Coordinate with alliance partners when creating business within assigned companies (primarily large enterprises), adjusting objectives to provide business value to client companies.
- Propose solutions for risk management, fraud and crime prevention, marketing solutions, and related analytics platforms and cloud services, primarily utilizing data.
- Conduct forecasts for figures.
- Collaborate with presales, inside sales, account managers, and management to respond promptly to high-revenue potential leads and strategic accounts.
- Create estimates, proposals, and contracts, and coordinate across departments to finalize contract signing and delivery schedules.
- Follow up on customer satisfaction, identify additional revenue opportunities, and build long-term relationships.
- Manage pipelines, forecast, and identify high-probability accounts using the company's account planning tools and sales methodologies (e.g., BASE, Strategic Selling).
- Leverage knowledge of company marketing goals, industry trends, and SAS products to assess customer needs and propose optimal solutions.
- Develop and execute action plans for high-growth potential accounts to expand relationships within the territory.
- Comply with all applicable security policies and processes to support the organization's secure software development goals.
Requirements
- Direct sales experience in software/IT solutions/SaaS.
- Ability to conduct interviews on customer business challenges, deliver impactful presentations, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to analyze and judge diverse issues and solve them creatively.
- Understanding of basic sales methodologies, purchasing processes, and decision-makers.
- Territory analysis and sales planning capabilities, with communication skills in both technical and business aspects.
- Equivalent combinations of relevant education, training, and practical experience may be considered in lieu of the above qualifications.
