About the Role
Candid is building an AI layer for EPCs to automate preconstruction engineering, aiming to increase speed by 10x while maintaining engineering quality. You will translate process engineering workflows into product requirements and validation checks to automate repetitive tasks while keeping engineers in control.
Responsibilities
- Define practical preconstruction process workflows and quality standards
- Review and validate process deliverables across early phase engineering packages
- Develop repeatable checks to identify inconsistencies across documents and handoffs
- Analyze rework drivers and input dependencies
- Clarify interface points across Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines
- Distinguish between repetitive tasks and those requiring engineering judgment
- Define workflows and product requirements for software automation
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience at an EPC, PMC, or owner operator
- Strong understanding of FEED and detailed design workflows
- Deep experience owning PFD and P&ID development
- Experience running simulations in Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar tools
- Strong fundamentals in relief, hydraulics, and sizing workflows
- Knowledge of API, ASME, NFPA, ISA, or similar standards
- Ability to identify inconsistencies across P&IDs, datasheets, and vendor packages
- Clear understanding of cross-discipline dependencies
