About the Role
As a Product Designer at Deputy, you’ll help shape the future of work for millions of shift workers worldwide. We’re on a mission to make every shift count, creating intuitive, impactful tools that empower businesses and their teams. You will design experiences that make work easier and more engaging for customers, bringing true value to their daily lives.
Responsibilities
- Lead as a strategic, influential product designer within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary squad
- Craft innovative solutions that make work simpler, more engaging, and rewarding for shift workers and their teams
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to shape the roadmap and bring impactful ideas to life
- Build a deep, data-driven understanding of customer needs and challenges through insightful research
- Define a bold vision for the future of your design domain, driving its evolution and impact
- Own the full design journey—from conducting research to partnering with engineers for flawless, pixel-perfect execution
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role in a SaaS environment.
- A socially driven designer passionate about creating a brighter, more inclusive future for shift workers and the businesses that support them
- Proven experience as a product designer, with a track record of delivering impactful software products to customers
- A problem-solver eager to simplify complex, legislation-related challenges for both shift workers and business owners
- An eye for detail and a dedication to high-quality design
- A proactive collaborator who values feedback and seeks out diverse perspectives
- A natural storyteller, able to convey design decisions clearly and persuasively
- A motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, growing company and embraces the challenges of ambiguity
- Experience designing for Payroll or similar financial products, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this space
