About the Role

This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the efficiency, performance, and reliability of the Cool Whip/Lunchables systems and equipment in accordance with Kraft Heinz policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work on both mechanical and electrical systems, including up to 480V, PLC ladder logic, controls integrations, and traditional mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties within the Maintenance function with minimum supervision.
  • Supervise the line for early defect observation, create repair plans, and resolve mechanical or electrical failures.
  • Adhere to the department's good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) policy/procedures.
  • Maintain records of equipment performance, repairs, and downtime using PMs, SAP work requests, and PC-based systems.
  • Communicate with the Supervisor regarding product changeover and other vital information to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Recognize and record any unusual condition or defective equipment via SAP Protocol.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Observe all safety rules, policies, precautions, and practices.
  • Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in procedure development and corrective actions.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Required to pass job qualification criteria, including mechanical & electrical skills testing.
  • Ability to perform and train self/others on basic mechanical skills, repairs, overhauls, maintenance systems, digital literacy, new technologies in preventive/predictive maintenance, and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills, leadership abilities, and effective planning.
  • Ability to perform bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to ground level and overhead.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier weights with assistance.
  • Ability to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in a manufacturing, office, or classroom setting.
  • Possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, disassemble and reassemble equipment, operate a computer, and other standard office equipment.

Skills

  • Mechanical systems understanding and solving capabilities.
  • Electrical systems understanding and solving capabilities.
  • Solving, repair, rebuild, operating, and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to read and understand machine prints/drawings and sketches.
  • Welding knowledge/ability in Acetylene / Plasma cutting, as well as Heliarc/stick welding.
  • Ability to perform routine machining and parts fabrication and/or repair.
  • Knowledge of PLC operation, logic, and solving.
  • Knowledge of basic motor control circuitry.
  • Knowledge of the “Sequence of operation” of equipment.
  • Proficient use of instruments/tools pertinent to the job.
  • Verbal and written communication (DPS, PM Routines / Detailed Steps).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to instruct/train.
  • Time management.
  • Personal computer entry and use of specific software programs.
