About the Role
The Analyst role sits within Alpha Alternatives' EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) team in London, focusing on the reporting practice. This team assists clients in efficiently producing complex reports using technology, such as Annual Reports, Statutory Reports, and Fund Financial Statements. The role primarily involves supporting Workiva implementations, with potential expansion into other advisory and technology partnership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support Solution Architects throughout Workiva implementations.
- Participate in the full implementation life-cycle, including documenting requirements during discovery sessions.
- Implement designs proposed by Solution Architects with minimal guidance.
- Communicate effectively with the internal team to provide status updates and flag risks.
- Collaborate with clients during the build phase to ensure expectations are met.
- Perform Unit Testing on solutions to validate configurations.
- Document the build and support clients during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase.
- Communicate effectively with clients via E-mail, in-person, and virtually.
- Articulate technical concepts in layman's terms to bridge knowledge gaps with clients.
- Address client questions, concerns, and requests promptly.
- Act as a collaborative team member, contributing to discussions and adapting to challenging situations.
- Support presales activities, accelerator/IP development, and project methodology documentation when not on client projects.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of relevant consulting, functional finance industry experience, or a university degree in finance, economics, or analytics.
- Strong Excel literacy.
- Passion for problem-solving with the ability to break down problems logically and articulate recommendations.
- Results-oriented, motivated self-starter with an eagerness to learn and embrace ambiguity.
- Strong desire to excel and gain exposure to multiple industries.
- Ability to collaborate with clients.
