About the Role

The Recruiter plays a key role in attracting qualified candidates, conducting thorough screening, and selecting the best talent for current and future organizational needs. This role focuses on high-volume driver recruitment, data management, compliance tracking, and supporting HR initiatives across multiple terminals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure candidates meet company hiring criteria and operational requirements
  • Conduct behavioral-based interviews to assess candidate suitability
  • Ensure drivers receive required onboarding and training prior to assignment
  • Provide orientation and onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring understanding of company policies and procedures
  • Support driver retention efforts through early-stage follow-ups and feedback tracking
  • Build and maintain respectful, professional relationships with recruitment agencies
  • Help with recruitment for internal employees across multiple departments (warehouse, CSR, billing, operations)
  • Prepare employment-related documentation including offer letters
  • Develop and post job advertisements across job boards, recruitment platforms, and new sourcing channels
  • Conduct proactive headhunting and online sourcing using job boards, professional networks, and internal databases
  • Screen agency candidates to ensure alignment with company standards and hiring criteria
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external recruitment networks and referral pipelines
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in HR systems and databases
  • Update and manage open personnel files and safety files
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of required certifications and clearances (WSIB)
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality across all HR records
  • Collaborate with Senior HR Advisor in organizing recruitment and corporate events
  • Participate in job fairs, corporate events, and promotional activities to support employer branding
  • Compile recruitment statistics and assist in analyzing trends for continuous improvement
  • Participate in HR and Operations meetings
  • Escalate driver-related concerns and retention risks to HR leadership
  • Ensure consistency of HR processes and procedures across multiple locations
  • Support alignment of recruitment and onboarding practices across locations
