About the Role

As a Developer Relations Engineer at Edge Impulse, you will engage, educate, and support the developer community to drive awareness and adoption of edge AI technology. You will act as a bridge between the engineering team and developers, empowering them to build, optimize, and deploy edge AI models. This role involves collaboration with Arduino and Qualcomm Dragonwing DevRel teams to ensure a seamless journey from prototyping to production.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain strong relationships with developers across social media, online community channels, Edge Impulse community programs, and events.
Craft high-quality technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, videos, and documentation.
Act as the voice of the developer community within Edge Impulse, influencing platform development and enhancing the developer experience.
Organize and participate in developer events, hackathons, webinars, and workshops.
Provide technical guidance, help developers troubleshoot issues, and optimize their use of tools.
Travel up to 30% to engage strategic developer communities.

Requirements

Proven experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or a similar role, with a focus on AI and IoT solutions.
Proficient in languages commonly used in ML and edge AI (e.g., Python, C++) and familiar with ML workflows and deployment.
Experience creating technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, videos, and documentation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to build and nurture developer communities, both online and offline.
Experience with LLMs, VLMs, AI agents or robotics is a plus.
Fluency in a second language is highly valued.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
