About the Role
Lead the team to build the next generation data processing platform from the ground up and migrate existing complex use cases into that system. Architect and implement systems that materialize our platform vision. Provide operational support for our production systems and foster a positive environment of integrity, empowerment, initiative, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to build the next generation data processing platform from the ground up
- Migrate existing complex use cases into that system
- Work with a team of supportive and passionate software engineers
- Architect and implement systems that materialize our platform vision
- Provide operational support for our production systems
- Foster a positive environment of integrity, empowerment, initiative, and teamwork
- Build & maintain innovative solutions for ingesting data into Liveramp
- Receive and process billions of records daily from various sources
- Validate, anonymize and normalize the data
- Deliver data to downstream systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering (backend)
- Experience with one or more object-oriented programming skills, i.e. Java, Go, C++
- Experience with platforms like Kubernetes, Containers and GCP cloud
- Experience with continuous integration and automation server like Jenkins, CircleCI
- Ability to lead and mentor other engineers in the team
- Ability to diagnose technical problems, debug code, and automate routine tasks
- Experience in driving scaled initiatives and engaging other engineers/teams as stakeholders
- Passion for building large scale systems and writing high-performance code
- Enjoy working as part of a distributed team: smart, ethical, friendly, hard-working, and productive
- Experience with best practices
- Working knowledge of observability principles is a plus
