About the Role

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, this role involves receiving inventory, packaging products for shipment, and operating industrial cutting equipment. The position ensures error-free packaging, efficient loading/unloading, and accurate inventory. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials and verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Operate industrial cutting equipment (saw and/or lathe) to cut materials.
  • Unload incoming trucks and move products to staging areas using material handling equipment.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring damage-free delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
  • Accurately measure materials, color code, catalog, log inventory, and put product away after training.
  • Operate delivery trucks within the yard and/or a NonCDL F450 truck for delivery after training.
  • Implement facility closure tasks at the end of the shift after training.
  • Attend work reliably and consistently on-site.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Mathematical ability to sort, check, count, measure, and verify numbers and product.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in the use of company ERP System.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment after training.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork, perform math calculations, and perform computer data entry.
  • Valid NY State Class B driver’s license and/or CDL endorsement is a plus for back-up driving.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and performing repetitive motion.
  • Visual acuity to inspect materials, read measuring devices, and operate equipment.
  • Ability to exert significant force to move objects.

Skills

  • Operating industrial cutting equipment (saws and/or lathe)
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or cranes
  • Operating material handling equipment
  • Operating company commercial vehicles (with appropriate license and training)
  • Using company ERP System
  • Basic email and data entry
  • Reading calipers and measuring instruments

  • Mon-Thursday 2 PM-12:30am (regular schedule)
  • Training schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4pm and Friday 5:30am-2pm

Salary/Compensations

  • Government set minimum wage up to $25.00/hour plus discretionary incentive
