About the Role
The main purpose of this role is to ensure a high-quality, bug-free user experience for both external, client-facing systems (web-apps) and internal, business line used systems (win-apps). This role ensures products meet business requirements and user functionality, involving identifying test scenarios, analyzing requirements, and creating/executing test cases and plans. The goal is to maximize Agile Scrum methodology by implementing inline QA testing in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Fully understand how users may use the system to accurately represent the client experience.
- Test software to ensure products meet design specifications and functionality requested by users.
- Work closely with development, business, and project management teams to complete requirements and projects.
- Develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Report, track, and monitor defects in Jira and Confluence.
- Adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to the protection of confidential data.
- Report actual or suspected vulnerabilities that could impact the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of confidential data.
- Maintain and support compliance with security policies.
- Attend regular security training sessions.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-6 years of recent professional Software QA experience.
- Knowledge of QA processes, methodologies, and procedures.
- Understand database structure and working knowledge of SQL is required.
- Knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office Applications (Excel, Word).
- Experience testing both Windows and Web-based applications.
- Attention to detail and “test to break” attitude.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiar with testing types and techniques: black box, functional, regression, smoke, cross browser.
- Experience testing in all browsers and all versions: IE, Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari.
- Familiar with SDLC process and the role of QA in it.
- Experience working in Finance industry (Plus).
