About the Role
As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, support training for new hires, and ensure the team performs essential tasks and provides outstanding guest experiences. You will model, teach, and demonstrate MOD’s purpose in all interactions, setting the squad up for success and leading by example.
Responsibilities
- Lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts.
- Support training for all new hires, program rollouts, and standards.
- Ensure the team performs all essential tasks, provides outstanding guest experiences, and contributes to smooth restaurant operations.
- Support restaurant management in overall restaurant operations.
- Serve as a leader for the squad.
- Provide feedback, answer questions, and give guidance.
- Model, teach, and demonstrate MOD’s purpose in all interactions.
- Set the squad up for success for the shift, during training, and as things change.
- Focus on directing the squad and deliver the best possible MOD experience on every shift.
- Ensure the restaurant is welcoming, runs smoothly, is clean and organized, and meets MOD’s overall standards.
- Ensure the right squad member is in the right place and doing the right work to always support guests (deployment).
- Complete Deployment Charts and make adjustments throughout the day.
- Train newly hired/promoted squad and support the team through new program rollouts and initiatives.
- Ensure operating systems and equipment are maintained to meet restaurant goals.
- Use and reference MOD tools and standards to ensure food safety.
- Listen, acknowledge, and resolve any squad member and/or guest concerns, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Manage cash within the shift in an accurate and responsible manner.
- Take inventory and place orders as needed.
- Adhere to all Opening/Midday/Closing shift checklists.
- Regularly review email to stay updated on and communicate information from the Slice and other relevant sources.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of customer service or restaurant experience.
- Must have demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer or informal leader.
- Have a proven ability to prioritize and make decisions.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Proven success in following and enforcing processes and standards; correcting and coaching in a compassionate manner.
- Have the ability to be a calming presence in periods of high volume.
- Must obtain a food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of your start date or sooner where required by law.
- Proficient in written and oral communication.
- Ability to support restaurant hours working a minimum of 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak demand hours.

- $17.96/hour when combining hourly wage of $13.75 and average tips of $4.21/hour earned at this location!
