About the Role

iHeartMedia is seeking a candidate to leverage data and analytics to drive financial success within an assigned market. This role involves routine sales reporting, payroll review, ad hoc requests, forecasting, and collaboration with Sales and Programming teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, curious, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and a strategic thinker who enjoys solving puzzles and working cross-functionally and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper control, recording, and classification of financial transactions.
  • Utilize systems and tools for data entry, report generation, research, and inquiry responses.
  • Review or process transactions and assist with financial reporting.
  • Analyze trends, research issues, and respond to inquiries from Sales, Programming, and leadership.
  • Perform ad hoc research and prepare comprehensive evaluations, proposals, and recommendations.
  • Maintain established service level agreements (SLAs) with internal and external clients.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, schedules, filings, and reports.
  • Assist with reconciling balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow discrepancies.
  • Support period-end consolidations and financial statement preparation.
  • Protect confidential information.
  • Coordinate scheduling, management report requests, and other data requests.
  • Provide accounting documentation to support company audits.
  • Monitor and improve business processes and controls.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, and research skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and deal with ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated technical skills in accounting and financial information systems and applications.
  • Proficient in Excel and able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Experience with Workday, Cognos, TM1, Salesforce, and SharePoint preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of related experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an accounting or finance emphasis preferred.
  • Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return.
  • Ability to work within prescribed guidelines without needing close supervision.
  • Problem-solving skills within established procedures.
  • Understanding of when to seek guidance for unforeseen problems.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to act in a professional manner and collaborate with colleagues of different levels.
  • Non-Compete will be required for certain positions and as allowed by law.
