About the Role

Homewood Health is seeking Mental Health Reactivation Consultants to provide return-to-work focused treatment for employees experiencing common mental health issues. The program utilizes action-oriented therapeutic strategies, including CBT and Motivational Interviewing, to help individuals recover and return to work.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client psychosocial issues and barriers to functioning and return to work.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one therapy sessions using standardized MHR program procedures.
  • Utilize behavioral activation, CBT, MI, and problem-solving therapies to enhance client functioning and participation in life and work.
  • Communicate regularly with Homewood Health clinical staff through semi-standardized reporting and weekly written documentation.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an entry-to-practice Occupational Therapy program.
  • Registration with the appropriate Occupational Therapy regulatory organization.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the Mental Health sector providing psychotherapy and/or counseling for individuals with common mental disorders.
  • Certification and/or experience in CBT and MI techniques.
  • Experience in RTW counseling for clients on short-term/long-term disability and/or WSIB claims, including RTW facilitation and/or work-focused treatment.
  • Exceptional customer service delivery and client-centered care.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to team objectives.
  • Takes responsibility for actions and decisions.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
