About the Role
Homewood Health is seeking Mental Health Reactivation Consultants to provide return-to-work focused treatment for employees experiencing common mental health issues. The program utilizes action-oriented therapeutic strategies, including CBT and Motivational Interviewing, to help individuals recover and return to work.
Responsibilities
- Assess client psychosocial issues and barriers to functioning and return to work.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one therapy sessions using standardized MHR program procedures.
- Utilize behavioral activation, CBT, MI, and problem-solving therapies to enhance client functioning and participation in life and work.
- Communicate regularly with Homewood Health clinical staff through semi-standardized reporting and weekly written documentation.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an entry-to-practice Occupational Therapy program.
- Registration with the appropriate Occupational Therapy regulatory organization.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the Mental Health sector providing psychotherapy and/or counseling for individuals with common mental disorders.
- Certification and/or experience in CBT and MI techniques.
- Experience in RTW counseling for clients on short-term/long-term disability and/or WSIB claims, including RTW facilitation and/or work-focused treatment.
- Exceptional customer service delivery and client-centered care.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to team objectives.
- Takes responsibility for actions and decisions.
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
