About the Role
RESPEC is seeking an experienced QA Engineer Automated 3 to support a Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) technology program. The selected consultant will play a key role in designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks.
- Prioritize test scenarios and create comprehensive test execution plans.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test data for enterprise applications.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing activities.
- Analyze applications and identify opportunities for expanding software regression suites.
- Evaluate software changes and recommend testing approaches to ensure quality and stability.
- Document automated testing processes, procedures, and execution results.
- Prepare detailed analyses, diagrams, verification procedures, and testing documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and end users throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
- Support quality assurance efforts across multiple projects and priorities.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities.
- Assist with continuous improvement of testing methodologies and QA processes.
Requirements
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in designing automated tests through the creation of automated testing scripts.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in prioritizing test scenarios and developing execution strategies.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in creating test plans, test cases, and test environments.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in performing functional, application, and regression testing.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in interpreting business and technical requirements and updating testing documentation accordingly.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in analysis, planning, and management reporting functions.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in learning and supporting customer business processes and operational needs.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in working effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in collaborating directly with customers and stakeholders during testing cycles.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in successfully working with both technical and non-technical teams while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Two (2) years of experience working with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Project Delivery Framework and related documentation templates.
- Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and information management methodologies.
- Understanding of software architecture, infrastructure components, and technology environments supporting large-scale applications.
- Candidates must currently reside in Texas.
- Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius of Austin, Texas.
- Relocation candidates will not be considered.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and meet E-Verify requirements.
- A criminal background investigation conducted within the previous six months will be required before onboarding.
- Selected candidates must sign required client security, confidentiality, and acceptable use agreements.
- Compliance with client information security and data protection policies is mandatory.
