About the Role

The Nye Auto Group is offering a lifelong career with a company that prioritizes honesty and integrity. This role involves delivering and picking up parts and equipment for the dealership.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Coordinates last-minute pick-ups or deliveries with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk.
• Maintains contact with the manager, delivery center, and dispatch for updates and instructions.
• Checks with the body shop daily for immediate parts needs.
• Delivers parts to the body shop and distributes them to appropriate technicians.
• Verifies that invoices match purchase orders for each pick-up.
• Checks payments received against invoices for each delivery.
• Maintains an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, obtaining recipient signatures.
• Unloads the truck daily, turning in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
• Performs basic truck maintenance, including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and ensuring inspections are performed.
• Advises the parts manager of major truck repair and maintenance needs.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Assists the service department with attendant responsibilities for customer car drop-off and pick-up.
• Assists with stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Performs other tasks as required by management.

Requirements

• Must possess a clean, valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent communication skills with coworkers and management.
• Customer service skills required with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Knowledge of computers and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Requires organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
• Trustworthy, Dependable, Responsible, Reliable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good time management skills.
• Use and comply with all safety rules.
• Ability to take direction from the Department Manager.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions.
• Must have a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
