About the Role

This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of the warehouse, supporting delivery schedules, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive to work daily as per schedule.
  • Read small print of orders.
  • Select product accurately.
  • Pick the correct number of pieces.
  • Put away stock accurately in locations.
  • Load delivery vehicles.
  • Accurately and efficiently load/unload all materials from delivery and courier vehicles.
  • Assist driving team to ensure on-time departure of deliveries.
  • Pick orders and quantities as per order.
  • Put away product as per receiving papers.
  • Accurately and efficiently detail and receive inbound material, restock, and put away material.
  • Answer phone calls when supervisors are unable to answer.
  • Speak clearly and politely to customers in person or on the phone.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor team to ensure great communication, collaboration, and smooth responsibility hand-offs.
  • Identify and communicate ways to improve warehouse holding capacity.
  • Ensure inventory is kept neat and organized.
  • Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and collaborative attitude towards customers and co-workers.
  • Participate in educational opportunities within the requirements of the position.
  • Comply with all government and organizational rules, regulations, and policies (H&S, Operations, etc.).

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using manual material handling equipment is an asset (e.g., hand trucks/pump trucks/dollies).
  • Experience with plumbing parts and materials is an asset.
  • Able to be highly efficient and pay attention to detail.
  • Experience suggesting and implementing changes to processes and procedures.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
  • Computer skills with the ability to send emails.
  • Experience as a forklift operator is an asset but not a full-time requirement.
