About the Role

The Senior Portfolio Manager will oversee the underwriting and credit risk assessment of commercial loans within the Media & Telecom sector. This role involves ensuring sound financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and alignment with bank credit policies while leading a team to drive high-quality credit decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of underwriters focused on commercial loans in the media and telecom space.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight to the underwriting team.
  • Assess and approve complex commercial loan applications.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis including cash flow modeling, debt service coverage, and collateral valuation.
  • Develop and refine underwriting standards ensuring alignment with market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers and credit approval officers to structure loans.
  • Monitor portfolio performance to identify trends, early warning signs, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Present credit decisions and recommendations to senior management and CRM.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and economic factors.

Requirements

  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10 or more years of corporate or commercial lending experience.
  • Three or more years of management experience.
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

  • $194,225.00 - $228,500.00
