About the Role
CrowdStrike is seeking a Data Scientist and AI researcher with expertise in Generative Models, including training and fine-tuning for predictive and generative tasks. The role requires a strong foundation in Generative AI model architectures and practical application knowledge for product features. Deep understanding of LLM concepts like RAG, AI Workflows, Agentic AI, AI Agents, AI Agent Frameworks, MCP, and A2A is essential. The candidate will research, prototype, and implement scalable solutions, demonstrating expert-level Python and PyTorch skills. Experience in publishing white papers and speaking at conferences is expected.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver scalable prototypes for various features.
- Research and compare/contrast various solutions for a given problem.
- Gather feedback and iterate towards a final solution.
- Provide detailed design and architecture documents.
- Present and describe solutions in easy-to-understand ways for a larger audience.
- Measure, report, and explain the efficacy characteristics of the solution.
- Write deep technical papers for internal and external audiences.
- Speak at internal and external events.
- Present and explain features in the context of the product to customers.
- Work at the code layers of models with a deep understanding of CUDA, kernels, and frameworks like PyTorch.
- Research, design, and prototype cutting-edge generative AI solutions to enhance CrowdStrike's AI Detection and Response capabilities.
- Translate complex AI concepts into practical security features.
- Create, curate, and maintain high-quality datasets for training and evaluating deep learning models.
- Establish data collection pipelines, labeling workflows, and quality assurance processes.
- Conduct experiments to further the capabilities of existing models.
Requirements
- 6+ years of combined experience as an ML/AI researcher and practitioner.
- 3+ years building/prototyping Generative AI features, training and fine-tuning AI / Deep learning models.
- Previous experience in security companies and working in close coordination with or in security products.
- Deep understanding of the security landscape, especially AI Security.
