About the Role

The Area Controller Maintenance role is responsible for the day-to-day damage activities within Fleet Maintenance and Body Damage (BD). This includes managing the BD induction process, maintenance repairs, and roadside recovery, with an emphasis on ticket opening, asset allocation for repair, and control of returning assets via 1fleet systems. The role supports asset repair at the lowest cost and shortest notice while maintaining quality standards. It also supports the wreck process, including administration of titles and end-of-life documentation, aiming to identify, reclassify, and sell wrecks efficiently. Financial recovery, including spend forecasting, PO generation, and end-of-life purchase requests, is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

Communicate body damage requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and implement correction actions.
Review mechanical requests and communicate required repair provider, date/time/location to field operations.
Ensure suppliers adhere to contracted SLAs and implement mitigating actions for concerns.
Manage vehicle downtime and implement strategies with RAC/TNC/24-7 to reduce VOR time and measure supplier KPIs.
Support FNOL / HCM in recovery of charges.
Daily systems use – Audatex/1Fleet/Strada.
Manage repaired returning fleet to RT status in MARS/1Fleet.
Support fleet recommendations with RAC/TNC/24-7 for cost efficiencies.
Determine areas of development and training requirements for front line operations.
Effectively manage all input/output and recoveries for Repairs, Engineering and associated relationships with Hertz providers.
Support the wreck process administration of titles and end of life documentation.
Manage asset recovery, PO generation, and end of life purchase requests.
Manage body damage input systems (1fleet).
Manage mechanical input systems (1fleet).
Manage financial recording and control.
Manage RTC recoveries and provider selection.

Requirements

Expert proficiency in Audatex, Microsoft 365, Excel, Oracle.
Moderate proficiency in Auto Data, Thatcham work streams, Eypx 1link, AI management software.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations.
