About the Role
This role sits at the heart of Kingfisher's Group Data & AI function, responsible for shaping a connected, capable, and consistent data practice across the business. You will build and nurture a vibrant Data & AI community, design skills frameworks and career pathways, and lead the standardization and adoption of data and AI tooling.
Responsibilities
- Build and grow the Data & AI community across Group and banners.
- Run Communities of Practice, Champions network, learning events, and collaboration forums.
- Make Kingfisher a place where data people want to work.
- Design skills frameworks, career paths, and development journeys to attract, grow, and retain data talent.
- Lead the assessment, standardization, and adoption of the data and BI tooling landscape.
- Drive reuse, efficiency, and consistent ways of working.
- Act as a central connector across data disciplines, driving alignment and balancing Group standards with local autonomy.
- Make the case for value, savings, and ROI.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading data communities, capability uplift, or a Centre of Excellence in a large, federated organisation.
- Experience in building a community that sustained itself and delivered value.
- Track record of designing skills frameworks, career paths, or learning programmes.
- Ability to energize, be curious, be pragmatic, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in matrix or federated environments.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
