About the Role

The Senior Manager, Project Management & Operations, Integrated Channel Marketing (ICM) is a senior operational leader responsible for designing, governing, and delivering project management systems and practices for complex, cross-departmental initiatives at MSF USA. This role owns and matures the organization-wide project management infrastructure, tools, templates, and governance models, influencing how work is planned and delivered, with a focus on fundraising and marketing deliverables. The position oversees the delivery of initiatives, acts as an operational integrator across departments, aligns stakeholders, manages interdependencies, and mitigates delivery risks, directly impacting revenue-critical fundraising efforts. The role also provides operational leadership and supervision to project management support staff and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead organization-wide project management systems and governance, including enterprise administration of Asana.
  • Design and continuously improve shared workflows, templates, and automations for scalable delivery of Integrated Channel Marketing and cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of intermediate to complex, medium- and long-term initiatives.
  • Align stakeholders, sequence interdependent work, and coordinate internal teams and external agencies to deliver revenue-critical outcomes.
  • Provide senior operational leadership by identifying and managing cross-departmental delivery risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Make informed trade-offs and advise stakeholders to maintain momentum in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Strengthen organization-wide project management capability by embedding scalable systems, standards, and ways of working.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning, accountability, and delivery effectiveness for improved marketing and fundraising outcomes.
  • Provide direct supervision to the Integrated Channel Marketing Analyst.
  • Provide functional leadership and oversight to ICM agency project managers.
  • Set delivery standards, reinforce governance, and ensure consistent execution across internal and external teams.
  • Manage and coordinate freelancers, agencies, interns, and volunteers as needed.
  • Assess and respond to complex, ambiguous situations, exercising judgment that balances competing priorities, delivery risk, and long-term operational impact.
  • Diagnose systemic challenges in project delivery and ways of working, designing and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Establish operational authority and trust with senior stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Translate strategic priorities into operational solutions, ensuring project management systems support MSF USA’s fundraising objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of successful fundraising experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of staff management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience and demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex projects.
  • Experience with digital project management software, such as Asana, Trello, Workfront, or similar tools.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Keen attention to detail with ability to track multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must be willing to travel for work as needed.
