About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our London team in a permanent, full-time position as a Multi-Residential DZ Driver/Picker. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of multi-residential waste and recyclable materials while providing excellent customer service and supporting day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete timely collection of multi-residential bulk waste and recyclable materials.
  • Maintain high productivity while executing duties safely.
  • Provide excellent customer service as the front-line contact with customers.
  • Safely operate the assigned commercial vehicle to collect various waste streams and deliver material to the appropriate depot.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, safe, and operational condition, including completing daily inspections and basic cleaning.
  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Adhere to Miller Waste Systems safety protocols and be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Be a constructive contributor to the team and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid DZ Driver’s Licence with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
  • No preventable accidents within the past year.
  • Minimum of 2 years of driving experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and report equipment issues.
  • Ability to work independently, self-manage, and prioritize.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Adaptability with scheduling is required, as end times may vary.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs independently.
  • Excellent knowledge of and familiarity with the roads in London and surrounding areas.

Location

  • 15 Buchanan Court, London, Ontario

Work Type

  • Permanent Full-Time
  • Monday to Friday, 6:30am start
  • Statutory holidays and weekends will be required depending on coverage needs.

Experience Level

  • Minimum of 2 years of driving experience preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $29.08 plus $1.25 shift premium per hour ($30.33/hr)
