Responsibilities
- Drive a proactive outbound pipeline with a 75/25 outbound-to-inbound split.
- Leverage existing relationships with brand marketers and industry partners to build new opportunities.
- Develop and execute a disciplined pursuit strategy for targeted new and expansion accounts.
- Contribute to the annual new business plan, including campaign and local marketing efforts.
- Serve as pitch captain, owning the full proposal lifecycle from qualification through close.
- Pull in Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) at the right moments and manage the process efficiently.
- Use research, competitive intelligence, and PTW analysis to guide proposal strategy and improve win rates.
- Deliver presentations with credibility and conviction.
- Manage client relationships with confidence and strategic clarity.
- Navigate scope conversations, manage expectations, and maintain clear communication.
- Contribute to sustainability and accessibility goals as integrated parts of work.
Requirements
- 8 to 10+ years of business development experience, with a significant portion in experiential, events, or activation agencies.
- A proven track record of developing opportunities through personal relationships and hustle, rather than solely managing inbound leads.
- An existing network of brand-side contacts, EPs, and industry relationships that can translate to introductions and meetings.
- Comfort owning a pitch end-to-end, including running the process, delegating strategically, and closing deals.
- A confident and calm leadership style that earns trust.
- Self-motivated and autonomous, requiring minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with how AI tools are changing business development workflows.
