About the Role

As a Bartender at Soho House, you will prepare beverages, serve food, and provide exceptional service to guests and members, embodying the brand and enhancing the guest experience through a charismatic and positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Serve food to guests and members.
  • Provide excellent service and memorable experiences.
  • Greet customers, learn preferences, and answer questions.
  • Recommend menu items and upsell items.
  • Prepare and serve beverages.
  • Create drink recipes.
  • Utilize proper equipment and ingredients.
  • Handle basic cleaning duties.
  • Follow steps of service and company guidelines for preparing cocktails and other drinks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized section.
  • Collaborate with other bartenders to wash glassware and utensils.
  • Clean up after customers and clean work area.
  • Educate guests and members about beverage options.
  • Discuss and describe daily specials, seasonal menu items, and food pairing options.
  • Collect payment on all sold items and operate a cash register.
  • Check customer identification for age requirements and alcohol consumption.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays.
  • Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies.
  • Delegate replenishment of items to Barbacks.
  • Mix ingredients according to drink recipes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working in a high-volume F&B operation.
  • Craft cocktail experience and working with seasonally influenced perishable items.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining consistency.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Flexible schedule and reliable.
  • Smart Serve certificate.
  • Tips certified.
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast-paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
