About the Role

Sid Harvey's, an HVAC wholesale distributor, is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate for its State College, PA location. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with purchases and order processing, and ensuring efficient and safe handling of products and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pass a drug test.
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
• Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Continuously update product knowledge and stay informed about product inventory and applicability.
• Know the location of merchandise in the warehouse.
• Accurately fill customer orders by retrieving requested material.
• Accurately and safely load and unload trucks.
• Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality.
• Maintain clear aisles and walkways.
• Ensure material is properly organized.
• Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch, including straightening and cleaning counter areas, warehouse, and bathrooms.
• Report back orders and/or material discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
• Accurately perform cycle counts as required.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules.
• Inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
• Perform forklift inspections as required.
• Assist in year-end physical inventories as requested.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Drug Test.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; carry and or reach.
• Regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Regularly required to read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc.
• Required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.
• Required to be able to safely operate a forklift and or pallet jack.
