About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Temporary full-time Training Design and Support Specialist for the Quality Management System team. This role supports the organization by providing training services, including needs analysis, design, development of training materials, and supporting the national training management process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training needs analyses to define instructional, educational, and performance objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop effective and engaging training materials and courses for technical processes and corporate programs.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training materials and courses by engaging with stakeholders and learners.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices in adult learning, training design, development, and management.
  • Facilitate communities of practice for training developers to enhance training quality.
  • Provide necessary information for submitting work orders to the Learning Management System (LMS) administration team.
  • Verify that all process documentation and training materials meet required standards for compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience in instructional design, education program development, or training material development.
  • Proven experience successfully interacting and building credibility with senior managers and other organizational groups.
  • Knowledge of core quality management system processes, including training management, and experience in a regulated environment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of adult training and education.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop eLearning modules using Articulate 360 suite (advanced Articulate Storyline skills).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere).
  • Knowledge of video production and editing.
  • Familiarity with generative AI.
  • Familiarity with augmented and virtual reality.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment and understanding of when to seek direction and when to escalate.

  • $86,400 - $101,700
