About the Role
In this position, you will coordinate engineering activities within a project and represent Alstom as the technical point of contact for the customer. You will collaborate with internal partners, including Alstom's signaling competence centers in France, Spain, and India.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities for a project or sub-project to achieve the required technical requirements in the field of CBTC (Communication-Based Train Control) for driverless systems.
- Implement the Alstom generic CBTC solution within the project.
- Serve as the technical interface to the customer for all BFS (Operation for System) topics, acting as the central point of contact for Signalling (CBTC), Security, and Radio in the context of driverless technologies.
- Manage technical discussions with the customer during technical challenges, leveraging experts within the Alstom group.
- Ensure compliance with the internal design process, including design reviews, validation planning, technical project planning, and documentation.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with internal partners (e.g., work preparation, purchasing, quality management, rolling stock) and external stakeholders (e.g., customers, suppliers).
Requirements
- Successfully completed university studies in a technical field (e.g., railway engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable).
- Several years of experience in technical project management.
- In-depth experience in signaling technology, ideally in the context of CBTC and driverless systems.
- Experience in technical customer interaction, especially in complex environments.
- Willingness to travel within Europe.
