About the Role

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer in Texas to model, develop, implement, and fine-tune signal timing. The candidate will combine data, guidelines, and context to improve operations for all modes of travel within the Global Mobility Business Area, contributing to connected and sustainable city solutions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, development, implementation, fine tuning and evaluation of traffic signal timing.
• Analyze traffic signal operation on arterials and networks.
• Specify applicable data collection.
• Develop new signal timing parameters based on detailed analysis.
• Input traffic signal plans via central control systems and/or directly into local controllers.
• Design and analyze traffic surveys to evaluate signal timing effectiveness.
• Business development, proposal preparation, project management and budget control.
• Develop traffic studies and impact reports.
• Develop project scopes, specifications, schedules, start up procedures, and cost estimates.
• Communicate effectively with clients on complex and technical issues.
• Display flexibility and adapt approach or methods to fit the situation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience in engineering.
• Texas PE or ability to obtain within 6 months.
