About the Role
Miller & Miller Law Group is seeking an Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney to support and help grow its Brooklyn office. This role offers meaningful client interaction, increasing autonomy, and the ability to build long-term influence within an established practice. The role can be shaped based on experience, with stronger mentorship for newer attorneys and greater independence for more experienced candidates.
Responsibilities
- Manage or support client matters from consultation through completion
- Guide clients through estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, probate, and estate or trust administration matters
- Draft, review, and revise estate planning and related legal documents
- Communicate with clients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner
- Collaborate with firm leadership on workflow, client service, and office growth
- Help ensure matters move forward with accuracy, organization, and follow-through
- Support the development of the Brooklyn office as the practice continues to grow
Requirements
- JD and active New York license in good standing
- 2 to 5 years of relevant legal experience preferred
- Experience in estate planning, elder law, probate, trust and estate administration, Medicaid planning, tax, or related private client work
- Strong writing, drafting, and interpersonal communication skills
- Confidence communicating with clients about personal and sensitive topics
- Sound judgment, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Interest in growing professionally and contributing to the long-term success of the Brooklyn office
- Familiarity with ElderCounsel, WealthCounsel, or similar planning software is a plus
- Spanish/English Bilingual ability is welcome

- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience: $115,000 to $135,000
- 4 to 5 years of directly aligned experience: $135,000 to $165,000
- Compensation may be flexible for a candidate with strong estate planning, elder law, tax, probate, or transferable private client experience
- Performance-based bonus opportunities available
- Origination bonus opportunities may be available for attorney-generated business
- Compensation review may be considered after 6 months based on performance, fit, and contribution
