About the Role
Bureau Veritas is hiring two Fire Engineering Degree Apprentices to join their team in 2026. This apprenticeship offers a fully funded degree, real industry experience, and the opportunity to start a meaningful career protecting lives, buildings, and communities. As part of the Fire Engineering team, you will play a vital role in creating safer environments while developing into a qualified Fire Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Support the design of fire safety strategies across a variety of buildings and projects
- Assist in developing fire safety reports, drawings, and technical documentation
- Learn how to apply UK and international fire safety regulations
- Develop knowledge of smoke modelling, evacuation analysis, and fire protection systems
- Work alongside experienced Fire Engineers, gaining hands-on experience from day one
- Build the skills needed to become a fully qualified Fire Engineer
Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
- A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications (Maths or STEM preferred)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A genuine interest in engineering, safety, or the built environment
- The ability to balance work and academic study
- Willingness to travel to Preston for block-release study
