About the Role

SS&C is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with C++ expertise to join our results-driven culture. You will contribute to scalable, reliable, and secure solutions by analyzing, designing, and executing application architecture. This role involves collaborating with technical leadership, architects, and scrum team members, focusing on vital applications and middleware services, and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the technical leadership team, architects and scrum team members to produce scalable, reliable and secure solutions.
  • Analyze, design and execute application architecture to meet defined technical and business requirements.
  • Provide ideas for improving the products through an understanding of the business model and market.
  • Focus on the applications and middleware services that are vital to the business.
  • Create and support documentation.
  • Provide 4th tier problem management process technical support (ITIL V3 Process).
  • Participate in the preparation of project plans applying Scrum/Agile methodology.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited educational institution.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a C++ environment.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with source code management systems (e.g. git, SVN).
  • Ability to work effectively inside a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Strong experience and proficiency in designing and developing real-time business applications.
  • Exposure to enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and SharePoint.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC processes, Agile methodologies (SCRUM), and Release/Change Management practices.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development and automation concepts, with a keen interest in improving engineering efficiency.
  • Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location(s).
  • Must be able to provide a valid work or study permit, if selected for an interview.
