About the Role

Meliá Hotels International is seeking a Kitchen Assistant (m/f/d) to join their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fresh and healthy cuisine, with a love for cleanliness and order.

Responsibilities

• Professional production of dishes according to the current menu plan
• Control of daily mise en place
• Support with inventory management and stock control
• Cleaning and sorting of dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment during daily operations in the main kitchen and for the event location
• Proper and careful storage of all cleaned utensils
• Ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of all equipment in the dishwashing area, including refilling cleaning supplies
• Emptying waste bins and ensuring the cleanliness of the waste room
• Cleaning of kitchen floors and ventilation systems
• Ensuring cleanliness in the assigned area in compliance with applicable hygiene guidelines and standards

Requirements

• Completed vocational training, preferably in the kitchen, hotel, or gastronomy sector
• Initial professional experience is desirable
• Flexibility & organizational talent
• Team player and host mentality
• Independent and structured way of working
• Quality awareness
