About the Role

The Value Strategy & RWE Lead will be responsible for the strategic, technical, and personnel leadership of the Value Strategy & RWE department, focusing on HTA, AMNOG, EU-HTA (Joint Clinical Assessments), evidence generation, and health services research. This role involves advising national and international pharmaceutical and biotech companies on market access for innovative drugs and developing integrated HTA, AMNOG, and evidence strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic, technical, and personnel leadership of the Value Strategy & RWE department with a focus on HTA, AMNOG, EU-HTA (Joint Clinical Assessments), evidence generation, and health services research.
  • Advising national and international pharmaceutical and biotech companies on market access for innovative drugs.
  • Developing integrated HTA, AMNOG, and evidence strategies considering national and European methodological requirements.
  • Responsibility for early benefit assessment projects (§ 35a SGB V), particularly Real-World Evidence studies, indirect comparisons, health services analyses, and Joint Clinical Assessments.
  • Ensuring methodological quality and scientific consistency of project results.
  • Responsibility for project acquisition and the department's bidding strategy, including evaluating project inquiries, effort estimations, and cost calculations.
  • Actively shaping the department's technical market positioning and service portfolio.
  • Representing the company to clients, external experts, scientific committees, and at national and international conferences.
  • Contributing to the European corporate strategy and health policy discussions, especially in the context of EU-HTA.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master/Diploma) in Health Sciences, Public Health, Medicine, Pharmacy, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in health services research or early benefit assessment of drugs, ideally with experience in management consulting.
  • Sound understanding of the German healthcare system structures and relevant players in the drug market.
  • Experience in the conception and management of Real-World Evidence studies and indirect comparisons.
  • Knowledge of national and European HTA procedures is an advantage (including EU-HTA and Joint Clinical Assessments).
  • Leadership experience and strong team development skills.
  • Analytical mindset, high degree of initiative, and very good presentation skills.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, at a scientific level.
